Olympian Tyson Gay’s daughter was shot dead on Sunday in Kentucky, United States.
According to the BBC, the 15-year-old daughter of the Olympic sprinter was hit in the neck while there was an exchange of fire between two vehicles in a parking space.
She was immediately taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

Gay confirmed the tragic news while talking to a local TV channel. "She didn't make it. I'm so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It's so crazy. I have no idea what happened," he was quoted as saying.
The famous Olympian is the US 100m record holder, also known for his being joint second-fastest 100m runner by far, after Usain Bolt.
Police have started an investigation.
