KARACHI:
Muhammad Abbas’ all-round performance helped KRL set a strong target to Karachi Whites on the second day of their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy encounter at the National Stadium of Karachi yesterday.
Abbas, who had claimed four wickets on the first day, took two more on the second to restrict Karachi Whites, who had started the day at 41-8, to 77. He then made 40 runs off 49 balls, despite coming in as a number nine, to guide his side to 237 in the second innings and set a target of 306.
Opener Hasan Raza (72) was the only batsman apart from Abbas and Nayyer Abbas (47) to make more than 14 runs as Karachi Whites’ Tabish Khan ran riot to claim five wickets.
