Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali on Friday etched his mark on history by scoring unbeaten first triple ton in a day-night Test.

West Indies are playing against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the second-ever day-night Test and Azhar, who became the first-ever centurion in a day-night Test on Thursday, bettered that record to score a double ton and later converted it into a triple century on Friday.

He also became the fourth Pakistani to score past the 300-run mark.

Congratulatory messages started flowing in for the 31-year-old and the Pakistani cricketers were the first ones to felicitate their compatriot.
