DERA GHAZI KHAN: Several students staged a protest demonstration outside the board office against irregularities in intermediate exam results on Friday.

The enraged students blocked both lanes of Multan Road for vehicular traffic. As a result, commuters were stranded in a massive traffic jam for hours. On the occasion, the protesters also shouted slogans against the education and inter board officials and said the board officials made several mistakes and errors in preparing the result.

The protesters further said many students, who had achieved higher marks in previous exams, were given low marks in many subjects. They demanded of the intermediate board officials to order a thorough investigation of the matter and declare a new result.

Meanwhile, intermediate examination controller rejected the claim of the students and said no irregularity in results was committed. However, he suspended Assistant Controller Exams Riaz Hussain and Computer Programmer Tayyab Raza over technical errors in results of roll no 303044 and 313537.
