E-governance: Steps taken to improve public sector
It has been planned that IT experts would be provided to each ministry to implement e-governance initiatives

The government is taking a number of steps to improve service delivery of the public sector in the country. According to Radio Pakistan, E-governance is being introduced to ensure the efficiency and transparency in public sector services. It has been planned that IT experts would be provided to each ministry to implement e-governance initiatives. These initiatives include the Governance Portal, Governance Innovation App Store and Free Internet for all. Visit of top trainers will be organised at global centres of excellence to build the capacity of government officials. Sources said that a comprehensive digital government strategy is being implemented to ensure efficiency, improved access, transparency and accountability of public service provision.
