Ashrua processions: Nisar reviews security arrangements

Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review security arrangements for Ashura processions in the twin cities. The meeting was attended by senior officials of Islamabad Police, Islamabad administration and Ministry of Interior officials. According to sources, Nisar, ordered the concerned authorities to ensure strict vigilance along procession routes in G-6 in Islamabad on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sources added that the district administration would have the paramilitary Rangers and the Frontier Constabulary at their disposal. Further, senior police officials have been asked to enhance patrolling in the twin cities.
