BAHAWALPUR: Concrete steps have been taken to streamline academic, administrative and financial matters of Ghazi University.

These views were expressed by Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan Vice-Chancellor Dr Qaiser Mushtaq. He was speaking during a meeting of university officials on Sunday.

He said the meeting of academic council was held for the first time to regulate academic and research activities at the university paving the way for a proper academic schedule. He added a board to standardise syllabus had been established to ensure compatibility with policies of Higher Education Commission and other regulatory bodies. He maintained measures have been taken to institutionalise matters according to rules and regulations to bring Ghazi University at par with other high ranking universities in the country.

The VC said both federal and provincial governments provided funds and other necessary support to streamline matters at the varsity.
