Ingested Drugs: New scanners catch two smugglers

“Two cases of ingested capsules were detected and cases have been registered,” says ANF director

RAWALPINDI:
New body scanners installed at the Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi airports, have helped detect two cases of drug mules smuggling capsules in their stomachs even though the systems are still being tested. “Two cases of ingested capsules were detected and cases have been registered,” Director General Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Brig Basharat Tahir Malik said on Friday as the scanners at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport were inaugurated by the Narcotics Control Division (NCD) Secretary Ajaz Ali Khan and Brig Malik.
