QUETTA: The Frontier Corps on Thursday claimed to have detained four suspects in two separate raids in the Sui and Panjgur areas of Balochistan.

The first raid was jointly carried out by FC troops and personnel of intelligence agencies in the Sui area of Dera Bugti. Two suspected members of a banned outfit were arrested.

In the second raid, FC soldiers rounded up two more suspects and seized a cache of weapons and ammunition from them in the Panjgur area.

Arms seizures were also made in the Zhob area. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel confiscated SMG, four magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition during a search operation in the Sherani area of Zhob district.

However, no arrest was reported.

In recent days, security forces have stepped up surveillance in the province through combing and intelligence-based operations.
