Here are a few of our top suggestions for what to serve on weddings
Though this is an open-ended conversation, and anything can be served on weddings, here are a few of our top suggestions
A Sweet Ending
A wedding cake is a piece of art. Think long and hard about what sort of cake you want on your special day, as it will be the center of attention — after you of course
The Checklist
Keep your theme in mind
Make sure your cake isn’t an eye sore on the day of the wedding. The cake should stand out yet fit in elegantly with the wedding décor and theme. The style you choose should complement the setting of the venue rather than offset it. So if it’s a fairytale themed wedding, don’t have a black cake with gold fondant!
Don’t forget to research
Research is a necessary step not only for planning a wedding, but also the wedding cake. Research different bakeries, the prices, the taste element, the styles they offer, and most importantly if they are able to do it for you on your special day.
Don’t underestimate time of delivery
Don’t leave your cake order till the last minute. Cakes take a lot of time, effort and planning before execution. You could say it is like ordering a formal outfit. Your vendor will be dealing with other orders and other brides too. Allow yourself time to design and order the cake prior to the actual date, start researching and make sure you place your order approximately a week to 10 days in advance.
Where to get them:
Karachi: Sam’s Cake Factory, Neeni’s and RB’s Cake Craft, Sugaries, Yum by Amna Tauqeer and The Cakery.
Lahore: Muneeze Khalid, Sweet Affairs, Redolence A Bake Studio, Mad Chef and Ganche by Ruby.
Islamabad: Sugar n’ Crumbs, Funky Bake and Kitchen Cuisine.
