Vocational Training Moot: Promote technical education, says mayor

ISLAMABAD: The Mayor of Islamabad, Sheikh Anser Aziz, on Wednesday hosted a reception for participating delegates in International Technical Vocational Education and Training Conference. The reception was attended by ambassadors and diplomats of different countries, senior officials of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), said a press release. Welcoming the delegates of the conference, the mayor who also holds the charge of CDA chairman said the government is taking consolidated steps for promoting technical education and training in the country. He said that international conferences help in learning from the experiences and best practices being applied by other countries.
