Role of industry: ‘Coordinated efforts required’

ISLAMABAD:
A two-day international conference organised by National Vocational and Training Commission concluded on Tuesday. According to a press release, a large number of industrialists, heads of institutes, local and foreign TVET experts participated in this conference. The main aim of the conference was to find avenues to improve the role of industry, enhance public-private partnership, promote entrepreneurship, encourage collaboration between government and industrial sector, and increase the chances of employability of youth both at domestic and international market. While addressing the conference, the NVTC Executive Director Zulfiqar Cheema said that in this age of collectivism, we have to address challenges being faced by the skilled sector with collective will, wisdom and coordinated efforts.
