LAHORE:
Punjab’s former governor Chaudhry Sarwar has called on the government to take solid measures to ease tensions on the Line of Control (LoC) apart from holding meetings with parliamentary party heads.

He said this while visiting the family of a martyred soldier in Faisalabad. Naik Imtiaz Ahmad was killed in the Bhimber sector of LoC last week.

Sarwar said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was guilty of genocide and mass killings in Kashmir and he was repeating his attitude from when he was the chief minister of Gujarat.

“The Indian dream of enslaving Kashmiris will not come true,” he said, criticising the Pakistani government for failing to appoint a foreign minister.

“The PML-N government must take practical measures instead of launching verbal attacks,” he added.

Sarwar also called on the UN and the international community to take notice of India’s aggression.
