The demonstration was organised by the Rajput Hindu Working Community and led by Ram Das.
Protesters, who were carrying placards inscribed with anti-Indian slogans, chanted ‘Go Modi Go’ ‘Go India Go’ ‘India ka jo yar hai Ghadar hai’ (Whoever is India’s friend is a traitor).
Expressing unity with Pakistan Army, the demonstrators condemned brutalities perpetrated by Indian occupation forces in Indian Kashmir.
“We support our army and government. We will ward off all enemies of Pakistan … We consider this land to be sacred motherland,” said Aneel Kuma, the president of Peshawar Hindu Rajput Welfare Working Community.
Criticising the escalating violence in Indian occupied Kashmir, he condemned India’s actions in Pakistan and Kashmir and said: “Hindus enjoy equal rights and respect in Pakistan, but India’s atrocious acts create problems for us.”
Appreciating Pakistan Army’s role, the protestors said that where allied forces from 32 countries failed in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s armed forces routed terrorists and destroyed their hideouts by conducting the successful Zarb-e-Azb operation.
Sympathising with relatives of soldiers and civilians who lost their lives because of the unprovoked firing by Indian army on the Line of Control (LoC), they said that it was inhuman and unprovoked act of aggression.
General Secretary of the Rajput community Vishal told The Express Tribune: “We are here to express solidarity with the army and government … we pledge that whenever our beloved country is threatened, we will be among those defending it.”
He warned India against resorting to unprovoked violence and aggression, he said: “We will never allow India or any other country to harm Pakistan.”
