One more victim of last week’s Shahdara cylinder blast succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Hospital on Saturday, raising the death toll of the mishap to 11. At least 17 people victims were injured when a gas cylinder in an LPG shop exploded four days ago. The shop also caught fire after the blast that engulfed the nearby houses as well. Six more victims said to be in critical condition are under treatment at Mayo Hospital. Seven victims admitted to the hospital had passed away on Friday night while three victims had died on Wednesday. Three people named Zahid, 25, Waseem, 15 and Zain, 16, had passed away on the first day while Salman, 2, Asifa, Bilal, 28, Tassawar, 40, Saleem, 24, Saeed, 45 and Ijaz 14 died on Friday night at Mayo Hospital. The victim who died on Saturday was identified as Umair, 21. This was not the first case of deaths in a cylinder blast in Lahore.
