Investment: Scholarships worth Rs690m promised for students
Scholarships amounting to Rs268.5 million for 6,611 students of Bahawalpur district allocated
BAHAWALPUR:
The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has extended financial assistance of Rs690 million to around 18,151 deserving students in three districts of Bahawalpur division.
This was shared by the PEEF officials at a meeting held at Commissioner Saqib Zafar’s office.
He said PEEF’s main idea revolved around extending sustainable financial help to intelligent and deserving students so that they could continue their studies.
“To raise public awareness regarding the long-term impact of this investment in building strong and vibrant human resource base, all stakeholders should play their role with a missionary zeal,” he added. Scholarships amounting to Rs268.5 million for 6,611 students of Bahawalpur district, scholarships worth Rs210 million for 5,751 students of Bahawalnagar district and scholarships to the tune of Rs214.2 million for 5,795 students of Rahim Yar Khan district have been allocated.
