Before last night’s victory, Pakistan were level with India with 454 wins in their account but right-hand batsman Babar Azam’s well-constructed maiden ton and left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz’s four-for helped the team jump to the second position.

Pakistan are currently ranked ninth in the ODIs and are hoping to clean sweep the West Indies 3-0 in the 50-over series to jump up one place to eighth. Both teams are fighting for direct qualification into the 2019 World Cup with the cut-off date set for September 2017.
