Sadaf Kanwal's debut film to release in February
Haissam Hussain’s ‘Balu Mahi’ also stars Osman Khalid Butt, Ainy Jaffri in lead roles

The release date for Haissam Hussain’s directorial debut Balu Mahi has been set and announced for February 10, 2017, the weekend before Valentine’s Day. According to a press release, supermodel Sadaf Kanwal will be making her film debut with Balu Mahi in the film, which brings forth the first-time coupling of model-actor Ainy Jaffri and television star Osman Khalid Butt as well.
Balu Mahi will mark the first time Jaffri and Butt play lead roles in a full-length commercial film. It attempts to portray Lahore and northern Pakistan on a larger-than-life canvas and celebrate romance in a unique manner. Balu Mahi is a travel film with elements of romance and comedy, making it perfect for the Valentine’s Day week.
Produced by Sadia Jabbar, the upcoming romantic-comedy has been written by Saad Azhar and the music is composed by established music director Sahir Ali Bagga, who has lent his vocals to five songs from the soundtrack. HKC Entertainment will distribute the film across Pakistan, while Grand Showbiz Media is the international distributor and has most recently been distributing blockbuster Pakistani film Actor in Law.
