Google has added a new update to its Maps application for Android, which allows users tap the microphone icon before speaking.
By saying ‘Ok Google,’ you can give commands to start navigation to a new destination, seek an alternative route or change driving settings.
Google Maps also lets you ask questions that would usually require you to glance at their smartphone’s screen. For example you can ask Google if there's traffic ahead or “What’s my next turn?”

The tech giant has released a cheat sheet full of commands:
“Show route overview” or “Show alternate routes”
“What road is this?”
“What’s my ETA?”
“Navigate home” or “Navigate to Starbucks”
“What’s the weather like?”
“Find gas stations”
“What’s the closest hotel?”
“Find restaurants”
Google Maps replaces direction arrow in favour of blue beam
If ‘Ok Google’ commands aren’t enabled by default once the app has been updated, open the overflow menu, tap ‘Settings,’ and flick the switch next to ‘OK Google detection’ from off to on.
