Jacobabad-shikarpur gas pipeline: Minister ensures completion of project

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Jam Kamal Khan on Thursday said the 30km Jacobabad-Shikarpur gas pipeline would be completed soon. During his visit to the office of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Quetta, he said the natural gas supply to Quetta and other districts would improve after completion of the gas pipeline, said a press release issued here. The minister was briefed on challenges being faced in curbing unaccounted for gas and progress on the gas pipeline. The minister directed the officials concerned of SSGC to expedite the work on the pipeline so that consumers could get benefit of gas in the upcoming winter season. Khan said that the distribution of gas had been extended in many parts of Balochistan.
