Targeted: Five injured in grenade attack

Two armed men riding a motorcycle threw the grenade at Mehran Bakery and escaped

KARACHI: Five people were wounded when armed men threw a hand grenade at a bakery in Kharadar Tuesday evening. The injured include, Gulistan Faqir, 45, Yasin Butt, 42, Quwat Khan, 52, Fazal Muhammad, 52 and Fahad Yousuf, 15. Kharadar SHO Nadeem Haider said that at least two armed men riding a motorcycle threw the grenade at Mehran Bakery and escaped. He added that the incident might have taken place over refusal to pay extortion money, however, no one has approached the police complaining about such threats. Meanwhile, Sindh IG AD Khowaja took notice of the incident and asked the police to arrest culprits involved in the attack.
