After Indian nationalist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) issued an ultimatum to Pakistani artists to leave the country, Hindu extremist organisations seem to have sprung into action.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have demanded the cancellation of Shafqat Amanat Ali's upcoming concert in Bengaluru. According to ANI, the right-wing groups have approached Bengaluru police to stop the Pakistani singer from performing at a concert scheduled to take place on September 30.

Earlier, the film workers’ association of MNS ‘ordered’ all Pakistani actors working in India to leave the country in 48 hours. “We gave a 48-hour deadline to Pakistani actors and artists to leave India or the MNS will push them out,” The Indian Express quoted Amey Khopkar of the MNS Chitrapat Sena as having remarked.
