Shoot-out: Police arrest two suspected criminals

The police apprehended two alleged criminals in an injured condition and seized weapons from them, after separate encounters in Sukkur on Monday night.
According to police officials, Abad SHO spotted four suspects when he was on a routine patrol on Jaferabad link road. The suspected criminals opened fire at the police and after an encounter, one of the suspects was arrested in an injured condition while three of his accomplices managed to escape. The police also seized a pistol and two bullets from his possession. The accused, identified as Najaf Ali Gopang, was a resident of Qureshi Goth Sukkur.
On the other hand, another encounter took place between the B section police and alleged criminals, in which a suspect was taken into custody in an injured condition while two others managed to flee. The accused was identified as Sajjad Mahar, a resident of Lakhi Ghulam Shah in Shikarpur. Police found a pistol and four bullets in his possession.
