This was stated by speakers at a one-day seminar on “Contours of the Contemporary Critical Theory” held at the National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad (NUML) on Monday.
Omar Shaukat, an assistant professor at the IBA Karachi along with NUML Rector Major General (retired) Ziauddin Najam and NUML Director General Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal spoke at the event.
Shaukat reviewed the evolution of different historic currents which had led to the formation of current critical theory. He also spoke about the relevance and value of critical theory in order to make sense of the issues and questions of our contemporary world.
