Senate panel: Bhara Kahu housing project reviewed

A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works on Monday discussed Bhara Kahu project of Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF).
Members of the FGEHF executive committee gave a detailed briefing to the Senate panel. Senator Maulana Tanveerul Haq Thanvi asked about the concerns of the local people regarding the project.
To a question raised by Senator Sardar Aazm Khan Musakhel, the
FGEHF officials said that the foundation had approved the purchase of land for the said housing scheme in 2009.
The committee members also asked the FGEHF to share details of land and price quoted by each party and the reputation of the developers.
