Muharram Plan: Shehbaz orders maximum security
The Punjab home secretary and the police chief gave a briefing to the CM on the security arrangements during Muharram

No efforts should be spared in keeping peace during Muharram, said Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif while presiding over a meeting to review the law and order situation in the province on Monday. The chief minister directed the officials to adopt concrete measures to provide security at mosques and imambargahs and deploy additional policemen if the need be. “Maximum resources should be utilised to make foolproof security arrangements this year,” he said, advising senior officers to ensure implementation of the security plan. He warned that any violation of the code of conduct will not be tolerated and action would be taken against those involved in hate speech and wall-chalking.
