Strings enthralled by Peshawar

Strings make head way for the north and take Peshawar by storm with their performance.

After recently performing at the Lahore University of Management and Sciences (Lums), Strings made head way for the north and took Peshawar by storm with their performance.

The band staged a concert on February 11 in the city’s famous Nishtar Hall.  In a recent press release, band members Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood expressed their excitement and joy at having performed in the province.  “Peshawar truly blew us away. In spite of the constant pressure from our families and friends not to do a concert in Peshawar, we went ahead and performed. And thank God we did, it was an experience we will never forget,” said the band.

“To our surprise the venue, Nishtar Hall, was jam-packed with people standing in the aisles also. Even from backstage we could hear the rumble of the crowd which was hitting us like bass from a huge sub- woofer. From the point we came on to the stage till the last song we played, the energy was unbelievable. After every song, we would say stuff like “Oh my God! This has to be the best crowd ever! Thank you guys, this is unbelievable, this has to be the loudest crowd we’ve ever performed for,”  said the band members.”

“We went to Peshawar with a preconceived mindset and we were so wrong. Can’t wait to perform there again. We will remember this concert for a long, long time,” said the excited band members.

It appears that the Peshawar crowd was not only enthralled by the band’s performance but the band itself was ecstatic about their performance in the city.

However, future plans for the band include a tour of Strings to India and the UK. In India, the band was scheduled to perform in Hyderabad on February 13 and later on February 18, right after which the band will perform at the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE) in London on February 25.
