Gunmen shot dead a senior police officer in the Nawan Killi area of the city on Friday.
CIA Sub Inspector Muhammad Zafar Wazir was on his way to a market when two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot him near Nawan Killi bus terminal. He received fatal gunshot wounds and died before he could be driven to hospital.
The gunmen fled unidentified and unchallenged.
