ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Dr Shireen Mazari has sought Islamabad High Court’s intervention in seeking the disqualification of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif over his derogatory remarks against her during a session of the assembly in June. The minister, while pointing at Mazari, had said “order this tractor trolley to shut her mouth” when she and some other lawmakers protested against his speech on load-shedding during Ramazan in the June 8 session of the National Assembly. Mazari, through her counsel Barrister Shoaib Razzaq, has made the federation a party through Law and Justice Minister Zahid Hamid, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed respondents.
