ISLAMABAD:
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Thursday extended the judicial remand of three suspects in the Dr Imran Farooq Murder case till October 6.
The ATC judge granted a 14-day extension in the remands of suspects Mohsin Ali, Moazzam Ali and Khalid Shamim.
During Thursday’s proceedings, the judge expressed his displeasure over delays in appointing a prosecutor which were in turn delaying case hearings.
The investigation officer informed the court that the Federal Investigation Agency has been told about court orders on appointing a prosecutor.
The court ordered the director of the Counter-Terrorism Department cell in the FIA to appear before the court and clarify his position. The court subsequently extended the judicial remand of three accused for 14days.
