ISLAMABAD:
The government plans to overhaul the crumbling healthcare system in the country, including a Rs35 billion special package to
upgrade existing facilities for the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
This was stated by Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar while addressing the “PIMS Thanksgiving Event”.
The event was held as a toke of thanks for raising stipends for postgraduate trainees to Rs73,000 per month and for House Officers to Rs40,000 per month in all the federal government hospitals.
Arrears will be paid to doctors from October 1.
