Week-long event: Music conference under way at Alhamra
The third day would showcase performances from singers from classical music families

The 58th All Pakistan Music Conference is under way at the Alhamra Arts Council. The week-long event kicked off on Monday with a demonstration by Sheema Kirmani.
On the second day, a contest was held to the test vocals and skills of participants from various educational institutions, featuring age groups under ten, over ten, college and university students and academies.
The contest was held at the open air theatre in Bagh-e-Jinnah. The third day would showcase performances from singers from various classical music families across the country.
The fourth and fifth days would feature performances on Folk, classical and light classical music at Alhamra – the Mall. Prize distribution ceremony coupled with folk and classical performances will be held on the final day on September 24.
All Pakistan Music Conference is dedicated for promotion, revival and development of traditional performing arts.
