Official sources said that the police handed over control of Tehsil Gwargo and Gitchk to the Levies force in the district.
The Levies force was merged with the regular police under the Police Order 2002 during Musharraf's regime. But the incumbent government had restored the revival of Balochistan levies force through an official notification last month.
