RAWALPINDI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement lawmaker Abdul Rashid Godil underwent angioplasty at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) on Monday. According to information gathered from RIC, the MNA underwent a successful procedure to clear a blocked vein. Doctors at the RIC inserted a stent in the MQM legislator’s heart. The procedure was carried out by RIC executive Director and former commandant of Armed forces Institute of Cardiology Dr Azhar Mehmood Kayani, The MNA already had one stent in his heart, doctors said, adding that the angioplasty was carried out to unblock another vein. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital today (Tuesday).
