Apple enthusiasts who bought the recently-launched iPhone 7 have reported hissing sounds from their new devices.

Hardly a week after its launch, reports are surfacing that the new iPhone 7 Plus makes an audible hissing sound whenever it’s under intense strain. Stephen Hackett, of the blog 512 Pixels was the first to notice this defect. Hackett initially thought the noise was coming from the speaker, eventually realising that the noise is emerging from the logic board instead.

At the moment, it’s unclear whether this sound appears in all iPhone 7 Plus devices. However, Apple isn't taking any chances and has offered Hackett a replacement.
