Innomdle Lab, a startup spun out by Samsung has created a watchstrap that lets you receive phone calls using just your fingers.

Sgnl uses Bluetooth to receive voice signals from your phone. Once its received, Sgnl generates vibrations through its body conduction unit (BCU) which transmits the vibrations through your hand to your fingertip. Once you place your fingertip on your ear, the vibration echoes to create amplified sound within the closed space of your ear.

Since the transmission is made through vibrations, there is no risk of harm to the human body. The audio remains clear even in noisy environments because the vibrations are transmitted through the hand directly to the ear. This also helps preventing people nearby to hear both sides of a conversation.

Seoul-based Innomdle Lab has raised more than $878,000 on Kickstarter surpassing its $50,000 goal with 20 more days of fundraising still to go. By making calls made through literally your finger-tips, this watch strap also solves the problem of carrying headphones. Apple’s new air pods are being criticized for having the tendency to be misplaced given their minute size. With the Sgnl, you no longer have to worry.

Samsung spun Innomdle lab out of an internal innovation lab in 2015. The electronic giant also showed off Sgnl at the IFA tech show in Berlin.

Prices vary from $99 to $399 depending on the type of product with shipping expected by February 2017.
