Congo fever case suspected
A 35-year-old woman was admitted at Nishtar Medical Hospital
MULTAN:
A 35-year-old woman was admitted at Nishtar Medical Hospital on Saturday with symptoms of Congo fever.
A hospital spokesman said Nasreen Bibi, a resident of Chak Gabol, Rajanpur, had been brought to the DHQ Hospital with symptoms of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever on Wednesday.
He said she was later referred to Nishtar Hospital. He said four of her children had also been admitted with fever. “However, their fever subsided after intervention and their condition stabilised,” he said. Nasreen was admitted to Ward 27. He said her blood samples had been sent to Islamabad for tests. “Meanwhile, an isolation section has been set up for her,” he said.
