At least four people were arrested for profiteering. This was stated in a handout issued on Saturday. Various shops were raided in Phase-III Chowk in the city for overcharging customs and encroaching on roads. The raid was carried out on the directives of DC Riaz Mehsud and was orchestrated by AAC Imran Khan. The shops have been sealed. “Raids were conducted at Insaf Super Store, Hassan Fruits Shop, Hassan Bakery and Islam Fruits Shop,” the handout added.
