BAHAWALPUR: “The provincial government wants to improve accessibility to essential services. A Rescue 1122 office in Hasilpur will help residents of rural areas during emergencies,” Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said on Saturday. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of a Rescue 1122 emergency centre in Hasilpur. “This office is a practical example of the government’s commitment to improve living conditions of the residents of rural Punjab.”

MPA Afzal Gill, Emergency Officer Asif Rahim Channer and Assistant Commissioner Aamir Hussain were also present.

Eid Milan party

Commissioner Saqib Zafar celebrated the third day of Eid with children housed at the Child Protection Bureau in Bahawalpur. He visited the bureau where he mingled with the children residing there early on Thursday. He also gave gifts to 33 children. Some children put up a tableau and sang national songs.

DCO Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, Bahawalpur Arts Council Director Rana Ajaz Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner (City) Rao Tasleem Akhter and Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Husnain Khalid Sanpaal were also present.
