Gunned Down: Militant’s body found
He was associated with a banned outfit and his whereabouts were unknown since 2009

The bullet-ridden body of a militant was found near the Pak-Japan friendship tunnel in the narrow strip of Darra Adam Khel, FR Kohat on September 13. The militant, identified as Khan Akbar Afridi, was abducted in August. He, along with jirga members, were returning to Darra Adam Khel when all of them were abducted. Later, three jirga members, along with two others, were freed by the kidnappers. The kidnappers were masked and carried sophisticated weapons. The officials handed over the body to relatives. Khan Akbar was buried in his ancestral graveyard. He belonged to Shpankikhel clan of Zarghunkhel, a sub tribe of Afridi, and was a close relative of Commander Arif Afridi.
