Residents of Bara Banda, Risalpur were angered by prolonged load-shedding despite the assurance that it would not take place over Eid. A large number of elders from Sultan Garhi, Solbazar, Gulshanabad, Shireenabad, Gulbahar Colony, Muhammad Khan Korona, Hafizabad, Saddar Bazar and other areas voiced their anger. They said the federal government announced there would be no load-shedding during the three days of Eid, but they have witnessed outages of the worst type possible. They said there was an acute shortage of water and poor hygiene in their areas.
