Met director Abdul Rashid denied the possibility of heavy rainfall or thunderstorms striking the region this week.
"It would remain partly cloudy and it will drizzle in scattered areas across the province and in Karachi but there will be no heavy rainfall."
Speaking about whether the monsoon season has ended, he said "The monsoon season will continue till the end of September It is too soon to predict if it has ended. Let October begin and then it can be proclaimed that monsoon season has ended." It is possible that a new pressure system might develop this month, he added.
Rashid ascertained that the temperature of the city during the Eid holidays would remain between 31 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius. "But, there will be no heavy rain," he reiterated.
