Towards emancipation: Women empowerment centre set up

Shah added the aim of the PM and IT minister was to promote women empowerment and welfare

BANNU: A women empowerment centre was inaugurated in Bannu on Sunday. The initiative has been launched by the Ministry of Information Technology. The centre was established on the directives of Minister for Information Technology Anoosha Rehman. The minister was acting on the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. A large number of representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Mujahid Shah inaugurated the centre. Shah said women will be trained on Microsoft-led coding and computing programmes so they are equipped to lead and empower other women. He added that after completion of the courses, women will be competent enough to utilise their skills and apply for jobs. “They will become economically independent,” Shah said. He added the aim of the PM and IT minister was to promote women empowerment and welfare.
