ISLAMABAD:
A sessions court on Saturday rejected bail plea of a man accused of murdering his wife.
Adil Khan, the suspect, allegedly shot dead his wife, Shabnam Bibi in the Pind Parian area near Tarnol on July 6. The accused was arrested a few days later.
Earlier, Tarnol Police SHO Inspector Jamshed Khan had told The Express Tribune that the suspect, during the initial investigation, claimed that his wife committed suicide.
However, the police believe that she was murdered.
A few weeks later, the suspect filed a post-arrest bail plea in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Faizan Haider Gilani.
The court, after hearing arguments, rejected Khan’s application and sent him to Adiala jail on a judicial remand.
The couple had a one-year-old daughter.
