Royal Palm Golf and Country Club announced support for the Jazz Rising Stars cricketing initiative of Team Lahore Qalandars and Jazz. This partnership of Team Lahore Qalandars and Jazz is a step to compliment the true spirit of Pakistan Super League and provide an opportunity for the youth to show their skills at the right forum. Royal Palm Golf and Country Club has decided to sponsor Team Faisalabad for the Jazz Rising Stars cricketing tournament as Faisalabad has an extensive untapped talent base. Cricket trial camps have been set up in 8 districts of Punjab from 26th August- 18th September 2016 where Aqib Javed, Mudassar Nazar and Ijaz Ahmed are selecting the best cricket talent for each district. The top 30 players of the Jazz Rising Stars tournament will join the Pakistan National Cricket Academy. Selected players will also fly to Australia to train with the current reigning Big Bash League Champions, Sydney Thunders.
