ISLAMABAD:
Light to moderate intermittent showers are expected in the upper parts of the country during the coming week. The month, however, will continue to remain hot and humid.
Director General Pakistan Meteorological Department Dr Ghulam Rasul told The Express Tribune that the showers will turn the hot and humid weather pleasant.
For rain-deprived Karachi, possible respite in nurturing trees
He added that dust and thunderstorms coupled with light to moderate rain is expected during the Eid holidays. It will not be a continuous spell, though, as only isolated rain is expected on all the three days.
“Currently the amount of moisture in the air is high due to which the weather has become really irritating. However these showers will help bring down the temperature as well as reduce the amount of humidity in the air,” he said.
Heavy rainfall continues to lash Lahore
Penumbral lunar eclipse
According to the Met office, penumbral lunar eclipse is expected on September 16 and 17 and will be visible in all regions of the country. Eclipse will begin on September 16 at 21:55, and end on September 17 at 01:54.
