Preparedness: 57,618 policemen to guard Eid congregations

Punjab Police on Wednesday finalised a security plan for Eidul Azha.
Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera chaired a meeting in this regard at the Central Police Office.
Under the strategy, 57,618 police officials will be deployed at 17,383 mosques and 1,350 open places where Eid prayers will be offered. As many as 12,268 metal detectors, 348 walk-through gates and 35,137 CCTV cameras will be used. Patrolling around banks, government buildings, markets, railway stations, bus terminals, schools and media houses would be enhanced.
