KARACHI:
Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday refuted media reports of Rs90-billion embezzlement in the development funds.

Addressing a press conference at the party's media cell, food minister Nisar Khuhro said the petition filed by Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Larkana, in the Sindh High Court regarding alleged misappropriation of Rs90 billion funds allocated for the Larkana development package is totally unfounded.

"We respect the judiciary, but the court has given the observation [on the Rs90 billion embezzlement] on a petition that was dismissed earlier" said Senator Saeed Ghani, who along with other PPP officials had accompanied Khuhro.
