Planning: Masterplan for Nankana’s development  

Those displaced as a result of infrastructure development would be compensated and allotted alternative land

LAHORE:
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has prepared a 50-year masterplan for the development of Nankana Sahib. “We are considering hiring consultants for infrastructure development in the district,” Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiqul Farooq said on Sunday following a meeting with LDA officials. Farooq said under the plan, residential areas would be renovated, educational institutions would be built and health and recreational facilities would be developed. Sikh places of worship too would be taken care of, he said. He said those displaced as a result of infrastructure development would be compensated and allotted alternative land. He requested the government to extend cooperation for the plan’s execution.
