The 26-year-old constable was present at the district court gate in Mardan when a blast ripped through the premises on September 2. He saved several people as he stopped the suicide bomber from entering the premises.
On the occasion, Durrani also visited the residence of Advocate Arshad Khan in Janabad and offered condolence with the bereaved family. Arshad was a provincial leader of Awami National Party and former chairperson of the municipal committee. He succumbed to his injuries a few hours after being caught up in the blast.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party minority wing former president Pir Nasib Chand visited Mardan and Christian colony in Peshawar and enquired after the health of those injured in the blasts. While speaking to journalists, Chand said the timely response of the security forces minimised damage at Christian colony.
He added the government failed to protect the citizens and provide the minorities with their rights.
